Immunity Fortifying Fennel-Ginger-Pear Juice

  • ½ bulb fennel 

    2 pears 

    1 inch piece ginger

Prepare to feel reinvigorated. Prepare to feel resilient to colds and flus. In Chinese theory, there is a belief that specific foods work symbiotically with our bodies during seasonal change. Fennel, ginger and pears are known to help nourish the Lungs and Large Intestine – the primary organs during the fall months. 

Fennel is a rich source of dietary fiber, B vitamins and several dietary minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium and manganese.  Ginger has great anti-inflammatory properties and pairs well with the anise flavor of the fennel while the pear rounds everything out nicely by fighting free radicals with its vitamin C and copper.
